The Best Thing I've Ever Smelled

Went to another xmas tree farm on Friday, this one the actual location for the commercial shoot. We were humping trees and going on water runs for most of the day, but I managed to sneak off and shoot the two produce trucks that apparently were used to take fruits and vegetables to local farmer's markets. They're just symbols now, signs of the productivity of this piece of Earth and the people who have walked on it. They looked cool.

I made a mistake Friday, absentmindedly popping the back cover of the camera open before I had spooled the film back into the canister. I thought maybe I could save part of the roll, but I couldn't get the crank to engage the roll again after I'd pulled it. Dumb mistake. I lost the first set of pictures of the blue truck, when it was early morning, the sun was at a much sharper angle and there was still dew on the windows. I was able to reproduce the photos, with different conditions.

I also lost shots of the sunflowers. I was able to reproduce them too, except that there was a bee on the foreground flower when I shot it the first time, but not the second. Uncooperative models...

The best moment of the entire day, though, was getting in a cube truck filled with 30 xmas trees at 6 am. It was The Best Smell In The History Of Noses.

Shot on the Vivitar with the regular lens, no filter.
