The one that works is a Vivitar, not sure of the year but it's gotta be older than I am. It came with three lenses, one of them wide angle and one for long lens, deep focus stuff. It also came with a tele-photo converter that all three lenses screw into, but I haven't figured out even what tele-photo means, let alone how to use it.
SO, Kirsten's in town, we've been walking around, studying French, eating canolis and Thai food, et faisons les photos.
We're starting with camera tests 3 & 4, because tests 1 & 2 didn't work out. With test 1, I didn't realize there was a release button under the crank, so when it was time to spool the film back into the can, I tore it all to shit and then had to open the back and expose it all.
I had figured out about the release by the second test, but for some reason it all came back unexposed, with nothing on the film at all.
So here we are, camera tests 3 & 4. I like how the colors came out on the old camera. I'm using all new film and 1 hour, straight to CD developing at Duane Reade. I also really like having some focus control finally, after the last few years snapping away on the little digital. Should have done this a long time ago.
These pictures were all taken in Greenwood Cemetery, a 485 acre rock garden in the middle of Brooklyn.
