I Like Making The Movies

Shiloh and I did a crazy week at the end of July, long days with short naps in between. We were shooting a series of shorts called No Boundaries and everything turned out fantastic. Shiloh and I hadn't had the chance to work as Director/DP before, and with Timor in the mix, we were nearly flawless. Of course, I haven't started editing yet, I'm still basking in the raw footage. It may not seem so perfect when it has to make sense, we'll see.

In the meantime, it was a great week. Here are some stills that were taken on set.

These were all taken on my crappy little $100 point-n-shoot digital cam that I can't find right now. I'll list the make and model soon enough.

I took a bunch of these, our bright and hardworking PA Josh took a bunch and one of the actors, Jaylen, used the cam as a prop throughout, so I posted a couple of his pics too.

No Boundaries

We shot in Brooklyn, in a neighborhood with a lot of industrial buildings. A lot of them are empty or near empty, a few have been reclaimed as apartments and condos.

I needed a wall with graffiti to shoot in front of. We didn't use this one, but it was my favorite.

But this was actual graff, hurried work in the dark, simple but interesting anyway.
